Out of the entire uptake, 172.337 sqm correspond to the last three months of the year (against 145.601 sqm in the last three months of 2017). Between October and December 2018 11 operations were closed against 17 carried out in the same period in 2017. If we take into account the whole year, 63 operations were carried out in 2018 against the 41 which were carried out in 2017.
Among the most relevant operations of the last quarter of 2018, a key in hand project for Caprabo in Barcelona’s Logistic Activity Area (ZAL), with a surface of 25.000 sqm, Mercadona’s own developments in Ripollet (15.400 sqm ) and Global Talke’s development in Tarragona (23.293 sqm) in terrains owned by Incasol stand out.
According to the predictions from Savills, for 2019 it is predicted that both operators and investors will keep their interest in the Central –ZAL area and in Barcelona’s first industrial crown for its connections, population density and the aforementioned areas’ consolidation as well as the fact that it is the preferred location for the main users/ manufacturers.
