According to El Confidencial the deal should be closed for around 1.000 million euro, taking as reference the current average market values.
This will be the largest NPL sale for the Spanish bank so far. In a release sent to the Spanish regulator, it can be read that «Bankia confirms negotiations for the sale of an NPL portfolio. As soon as the deal is closed, the market will be informed of the details of the operation», quotes Negócios.
Once this deal is made, Bankia will close the year with around 5.500 million euro in NPL sales, compared to more than 2.400 million last year, and almost double the yearly goal of reaching 2.900 million euro in NPL sales.
