The group has signed Carlos Pérez de Yrigoyen, former director of Anticipa Real Estate, owned by the US giant Blackstone, as the new head of its real estate business in Spain after the acquisition of Habitat. In addition, it will keep the team that entered in 2017 in its board of directors, led by Eduardo Carreño, to promote this new stage.
Carlos Pérez de Yrigoyen has more than ten years of experience in the Spanish real estate and his departure from Blackstone adds that of Jordi Anguera, who also abandoned Anticipa Real Estate to sign for Neinor Homes.
In addition to investing in land, Bain plans to loan Habitat a dozen portfolios of real estate assets acquired in recent times to the real estate and that reach a value of €3,500 million. Among them, highlights a Liberbank portfolio valued at €600 million, which it bought last October through a joint venture with the Oceanwood fund.
Currently, the real estate company plans to deliver the first houses of the more than one thousand that it has for sale. Of this thousand floors, 700 are in the construction phase, with 80% of them already placed. The turnover of Habitat in 2017 was around €44.5 million, a numer similar to that of the previous year.
