According to El Confidencial, quoting sources close to the business, the company will be in negotiations with investors in order to create a new investment vehicle focused only in Portugal, similar to Hispania, the largest Spanish hotel company, having thus a company focused on each market.
"We are looking at the Portuguese holiday market," said the General Director of Hispania, Cristina Garcia-Peri, during the Barcelona Meeting Point, whom admitted to search opportunities in this segment, mainly in Lisbon and Oporto.
Despite being only 3 and a half years old, Hispania is the largest hotel owner in Spain, owning 36 units and more than 10,350 beds, according to the same source.
