AQ Urban Sky project in Malaga
The project is constituted by two 30 floor skyscrapers, which host 450 dwellings. Four large 126-metre cranes will be used for its construction, which will be carried out by Avintia Construcción.
The most Southern building will feature 252 dwellings and will be shaped like a «Y» so as to offer better views and to facilitate ventilation and natural lighting within the dwellings. The Northern building will be shaped like a «T», feature 198 dwellings for rent and a hotel which will occupy the first 13 floors. These skyscrapers, which will occupy the terrains of a former Sunday flea market in Martiricos, will be the tallest in Malaga.
Expected to be concluded by 2023, this is AQ Acentor’s most iconic project in Malaga, a strategic location for the developer. In fact, AQ Acentor currently has around 1.400 dwellings under development in Malaga spread across several different developments.
Sustainability and smart building
The project highlights a new smart building concept with a high technological component, allowing the management of several of the building’s services using a dedicated app; as well as its bet on sustainability. Besides having the highest energy rating, the project will be certified in terms of sustainability by BREEAM and will compensate its CO2 emissions during the first two years after the dwellings are delivered, a typical initiative of all AQ Acentor’s projects.
In terms of the project’s design and location, it will become an urban landmark in Malaga, since there is a regeneration plan for the surrounding areas of the buildings which include commercial areas and more than 20.000 sqm of green areas, pedestrian spaces and bicycle lanes.
The project has a total built area of 78.000 sqm spread across two 30 floor skyscrapers which will have two underground parking facilities with more than 500 parking spots and common areas, including rooftops with a view over the city, swimming pools, co-working rooms, cinema rooms, gym and laundrette.
