Altamira Asset Management has just announced the incorporation of Bárbara Galbis as the new Director of Real Estate Development - leading the areas of Land Management and Real Estate Development - and as a member of the Management Committee, led by the CEO of the company, Francesc Noguera.
This appointment is part of Altamira's strategy to focus on growth to reinforce its leadership in the Real Estate market, with a business model focused on increasing the value of its clients' real estate assets before their divestment. At the end of 2020, Altamira managed more than 120,000 Real Estate assets, which represents a 10% growth compared to last year, and it now has a portfolio of 205 million sqm.
The creation of a specialized area of Land Management and Development in Altamira Asset Management and the incorporation of its new Director Bárbara Galbis to its Management Committee is a clear example of the company's commitment to offering the best service to its current clients, among Sareb, Santander, Landco, Bain Capital and Metrovacesa, and others. The company intends to continue to grow with them with the incorporation of new assets and new business plans.
In addition to Bárbara Galbis as Director, expert profiles in Urban Management and specialists in Development Management have been incorporated into this area, reinforcing the team up to a total of 80 people in the area, distributed in 7 territorial delegations distributed throughout the geography of Spain , which guarantee the new service and customer focus.

Bárbara Galbis long experience
Bárbara Galbis has a degree in Technical Architecture from the Madrid University School of Technical Architecture and has an Executive Program in Real Estate Management from Harvard Business School and an Advanced Management Program from IESE. She began her professional career more than 23 years ago and has extensive experience in the real estate and construction world, both in the Spanish and Latin American markets.
For the last 8 years, Bárbara has been the Corporate Director of Operations for Inversiones Centenario SAA in Peru, a leading company in its sector, listed on the Stock Market and specialized in Real Estate and Wealth Management. She is a member of the Management Committee that manages the Office, Residential, Shopping Center, Hotels and Industrial businesses, and she has participated in the growth of the company's value to reach 1,500 million dollars in real estate assets.
