It is situated near the Foco, with a gross lettable area of 6.000m², near the Casa da Música, the Museu de Serralves, the Parque da Cidade and various luxury hotels. According to the consultants, the asset has eight floors and is split into 30 parts. The buyer was not disclosed.
Filipa Santos, Director of the Porto division of Aguirre Newman, communicated that, “It is in the Avenida da Boavista that we find some of the best property in the city and where, as a rule, the well known brands choose to build their head offices, so it was very pleasing for us to arrange for one more of these in one of Porto’s principal arteries.”
This transaction is further evidence of the growing dynamism in Porto’s office market, which specialists have been pointing out in recent months. An increasing number of multinational companies are seeking to locate here, and after the dynamic 2016, JLL predicted in February a peak in demand and growing activity in the take up of office space in Porto in the next few months, above that which was initially predicted.
In March, Eric van Euven, Managing Partner of Cushman & Wakefield, highlighted, in the study “Mercado de Escritórios do Porto”(“Offices in Porto”), the “historic moment” that Porto is currently living, “with growing demand and proven lack of available offices.”
