The new facility will replace the one that the French sports equipment distribution company now has in Navarra. The amount of the purchase, which is the first operation carried out in Spain by this investment vehicle of the British company, amounts to €15.3 million.
The property, with 32,600 m2 of surface, will be rented for a period of ten years with variable income depending on the inflation rate. Aberdeen Standard expects to gain an annual return of 6% with the lease. There is the option, if Decathlon so wishes, to expand the warehouse by another 10,020 m2. According to Evert Castelein, manager of the fund, "the property will be able to generate a sustainable income due to the quality of the location, its modern features and long-term rent".
