As confirmed by Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, the buildings are located in Barcelona. The portfolio includes: Conselleria de Justícia (Ministry of Justice), in Pau Claris street; Oficina de Atención Ciudadana – OAC – (Citizen’s Assistance Office) of the Servicios Territoriales de Empresa y Empleo (Territorial Services for Companies and Employment) in Barcelona, at Carrera street; Subdirección General de Autorizaciones Iniciales de Empleo (Subdirectorate-General for Initial Job Permits) , at Puig i Xoriguer street; the headquarters of the Institut Català de les Dones – ICD – (Catalan Institute for Women) , at plaza Pere Coromines; Institut Obert de Catalunya – IOC – (Catalonia’s Open Institute), at Avenida Paralle; Archivo Judicial Territorial de Barcelona (Barcelona’s Territorial Judicial Archive), at Roger de Flor street; the headquarters of the Dirección General de Política Lingüística (General Directorate for Linguistic Policy), at Portal de Santa Madrona; and Oficina de Empleo de la Generalitat (Generalitat’s Employment Service), at Doctor Joaquim Pou street.
AXA concluded in 2013 the acquisition of this set of buildings from the Catalan government. The operation – which included 5 other assets of this type – was closed for 172 million euro and, according to the same newspaper, included the Generalitat’s promise to lease these buildings for 20 years, by paying a 16.2 million euro annual rent.
