Mazabi buys Madeira Shopping
17 March 2020 | Susana Correia

Spanish group Mazabi, through Atalaya La Tejita, closed with Sonae Sierra the purchase of Madeira Shopping.

The information was advanced this Monday on a note sent to the Competition Authority, without, however, disclosing the amount of the operation.

Opened in 2001 in the city of Funchal, the Madeira Shopping is the largest shopping centre in the Island of Madeira, with more than 100 stores and around 26.600 sqm, besides 1.060 parking spots.

Besides owning it, together with Estevão Neves and APG, Sonae Sierra is also in charge of its management.

Atalaya La Tejita is a Spanish company dedicated to real estate investment and specialised in developing and managing shopping centres. It is controlled by Grupo Mazabi, which integrates family real estate asset and investment management companies.
