MAPIC Italy and The Happetite have been cancelled
05 June 2020 |

Reed Midem cancelled MAPIC Italy and The Happetite, two events which were scheduled for the 1st and the 2nd of July. The development of the Covid-19 pandemic had already forced the postponement of the events originally scheduled for the end of April.

«Despite the recent end of the confinement in Italy, there are still restrictions which affect organised events and as such we do not believe that the necessary conditions are gathered to offer an ideal commercial environment for our participants at MAPIC Italy and The Happetite in July. Committing to health and safety just isn’t optional», said Filippo Rean, director of real estate at Reed MIDEM. «We want to thank our clients and associates, in particular the Consiglio Nazionale Centri Commerciali (National Council of Shopping Centres), for their advice, guidance and support during these hard times», he added.

The Italian retail segment and the international food market will be the themes of conferences and events which will take place during MAPIC 2020, in Cannes, France, from the 17th until the 19th of November.
