29 November 2019 | Vanessa Sousa

Loom, specialised in coworking spaces, plans to open new units in Barcelona. Its goal is to reach a total 6.000 sqm in coworking spaces in the city next year.

«Opening 4 coworking spaces in less than a year shows a great bet on Barcelona», commented Paula Almansa, the company’s CEO which is managed by Spanish REIT Merlin Properties.

One of these projects is located at Torre Glòries – within the city’s district @22- and it has 2.500 sqm. One other project is located within Barcelona’s World Trade Center and it has 1.500 sqm. The company already revealed to the same newspaper that it should open a new space, also located within district @22, however no more information was disclosed about the fourth coworking space Loom is expected to open in the city in 2020. The amounts to be invested in these projects were also not disclosed.

Loom also intends to invest in Madrid. In total, the company intends to have a total 19.000 sqm in flexible work spaces in both cities.
