17 February 2020 | Vanessa Sousa

One of Iberdrola’s strategies for next year is investing on logistics and as such, the company expects to spend around 50 million euro in the 4 logistic centres it has under development in Spain.

One of these centres in located in Catalonia, in Tarragona. Another is located in the Spanish capital, at San Fernando de Henares. In Sevilla, Iberdola has 500 thousand sqm of terrain and in Pamplona 129.276 sqm, revealed newspaper El Economista.

This investment on logistics comes at a time when, on the one hand E-commerce boosted demand for warehouses and, on the other hand, the energy company divested, in particular in the office segment.

The sale of Málaga Business Park was part of this divestment. Another such divestment was the sale of Torre Auditori, in Barcelona, through which Iberdrola received 98 million euro from da Aberdeen Standard Investment.

Its latest divestment was the sale of the building located at number 88 Calle del Alcalde Sáinz de Baranda for 24 million euro, where Ibosa, the new owner, will develop the so called Naktam Project, a residential complex with 82 apartments.
