Blackstone closes “largest transaction” ever for €16,7B

«The largest transaction» in the history of the real estate market was closed by American Blackstone which paid GLP, a company headquartered in Singapore, 18.7 billion dollars (equivalent to 16.7 billion euro) for a logistic portfolio located in the United States.



The information is advanced in a release Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Negócios had access to, which also reveals that the portfolio has a combined total area of 16.6 million sqm.

«Logistics is our highest conviction global investment theme today, and we look forward to building on our existing portfolio to meet the growing e-commerce demand», explains Ken Caplan, co-director at Blackstone Real Estate in the same release.

With the integration of these assets, the American fund’s logistic portfolio in the United States now has over 33 million sqm.
